Fun for All. Beginning November 21st, 2009 thru January 2nd, 2010, you and your family will be able to enjoy the Magical Forest at Opportunity Village. This event has something for everyone. You can enjoy a train ride on the Forest Express. It winds its way through the two acre forest. Visitors will see another angle of the many trees and displays. They also have an Enchanted Carousel, featuring animals, lights and carousel music. The carousel will delight riders and spectators of all kind. You might find yourself lost in the traditional carousel music. There is also that Gingerbread House and of course the gift basket display. There will also be a raffle. Please don't forget to stop by the Gift Cabin. It's a wonderful place to holiday shop. After your ride on the train and carousel you might be feeling a little hungry. Stop by the Gift Box Cafe and enjoy your favorites. How about a warm Funnel cake, Hot Dog Hamburger or Pizza? There's always entertainment to be seen and heard. From the moment you arrive, you are enchanted by the sights and sound of the holiday season. You can stroll through the decorated trees, take a ride on the train or carousel, see nightly entertainment and of course take a picture with SANTA. This event takes a team effort of about 70-90 volunteers. All proceeds raised by this will benefit people with disabilities.
