Money issues resolved With the start of school there are many more expenses that may not have been expected. That happened to a lady who was in my office today, not only did she have the expense of school supplies, she took her four children to the dentist, was given the news that two of her children needed braces. The dentist would make payment arrangements but needed a down payment. She called to find out how much she could borrow on her car and how fast she would receive her money. She was pleasantly surprised to find out her car had more equity than she knew and she was able to pay for more than the down payment to the dentist. She was very happy to have what had been a very trying situation turn into a situation she could handle. I am not sure her two children were happy they were now going to be able to get their braces, they will appreciate this when they are a little older. I was reading the news here in Las Vegas, there is a mystery to be solved with a prize of a $25,000 dagger. It is based on the book Vegas Die, the book holds the clue to this treasure hunt. The search has been on for a year, the author Stephen Grogan is now going to be revealing a new clue The book is premised on the killing of an old mobster, the mayor is the #1 suspect. when you read the book nothing is how it seems. The dagger is hidden in the city, it could be buried or out in the open. Some of the readers have read the book many times, trying to solve the codes. But the prize is still up for grabs. Someone thinks the dagger is a symbol for Jerry Lewis . One reader had searched over 2000 hotel rooms. Even a man whose job it is is to break codes hasn't been able to break this one. There is per the readers frustration with not being able to find the treasure, but they say they will continue. The author is writing a sequel, he is saying the clue will be where not to go. “It is not hidden in any casino on the strip” He thinks this will help in the search, not so many place to look Per the Grogan dagger is obtainable, not in his backyard. Shots for school entry It is that time of year again school starts soon, and you must have your children’s immunization records up to date. The Southern Nevada Health District is holding several clinics. The Ravenholt Public Heath Center on Shadow Ln is open longer, from 8 am to 6 pm. On Saturday August 22nd you can take your children to the following places to get their shots up dated. Raenholdt Public Health Center 625 Shadow Ln 9 am to 2pm The Community College of Southern Nevada This is a community organization event not the health district. 3200 E Cheyenne Blvd 9 am to 1 pm The Fees charged by the district is $16 for one vaccine, $25 two or more. There may be different charges for more vaccines If your child is entering 7th grade they are required to vaccinate for whooping cough. Have a safe and healthy school year

Laughlin Bullhead City

Big Bash in Bullhead City It’s almost time for getting back to the routine of school and all the activities that come with children being in school. If you would like to have a quick weekend getaway for the whole family, why not go to spend time in Laughlin at the Bullhead City River Regatta Kayak and Canoe race. This will be held August 29th. The kayak and canoes will launch from Davis Camp in Bullhead City at 8am. They will travel 11 miles down the Colorado River. You can bring your equipment as early as 5 am. This is a 2 day event celebrating Bullhead City’s 25th birthday. The party starts on august 28th with Ye Got to Regatta Party, it is from 5 to 10 pm at the Community Park in Bullhead City. Those attending will be voting for the “Best Bartender on the River” contest... There will also be family style games. There is transportation from Rotary Park to the launch area.
