Good Deeds Get Rewarded - Stay positive in this economy and pay it forward with good deeds for one another. Last night I was in Walgreen's picking up a couple of prescriptions. I was tired from working, in a hurry to get home, it was frustrating to get in line behind a customer who was having a problem checking out. She had to pay with part cash and part debit card. My patience was not the best because I had to wait, the debit card was declined, she tried it twice. I was doing everything but saying out loud hurry up, then it came to me, there were a few times in years past when someone had to wait on me. When the card would not be accepted for the 3rd time, the only thing that seemed right was to hand the cashier the $5 the lady needed to finish her purchase. The customer was very appreciative. When I left the store another customer came up to me, wanted to know if I had helped pay for the previous customer's purchase. I told her I had, and that it wasn't a big deal. The next thing that happened she put some money in my purse, I tried to explain it wasn’t necessary thinking she had just given me back my $5, when I looked at the bill, it was $100. I ran out to her car tried to get her to take the money back, she just kept saying, one good deed deserves another and drove off.
